Career and Technology Education

Recent changes in Texas law expand training and job opportunities for young people seeking careers in the electrical and HVAC fields.

Career and technology education (CTE) programs provide pathways to an air conditioning and refrigeration technician certification, a residential wireman license, a barber license or a cosmetologist license.

Students who participate in these TDLR-approved CTE programs in high school or community college will be job-ready at graduation.
