Boiler Examination Information

Exam Eligibility

Applicants must submit an application before becoming eligible for the TX Boiler Examination. Please follow the instructions for how to submit an application.


Exam Requirements

After submitting your application, TDLR staff will verify that you meet all eligibility requirements. Upon confirmation, you will receive an eligibility email notice from PSI. The email includes instructions for registering and scheduling an examination. Applicant’s eligibilities are valid for a year from the date of approval.

You should review the Candidate Information Bulletin (PDF) which provides helpful information about the exam content (including the passing score, the number of questions, the time allotted to complete the exam, and a list of reference materials), fees, exam site locations, and detailed information about PSI’s examination administration procedures.
